A new year – A new me!

From Half Done to Mt Doom and back again…sounds like a hobbit tale doesn’t it? Well it is. Kinda. While I’m still reflecting on what happened last year and writing the post, I just thought I’ll show a gist of the start and finish line.

2014. New Year’s Day. I was up at the summit of half dome, to catch a glimpse of the first sunrise of the new year 2014. The dawn was spectacular over the Sierra Nevada mountains. Witnessed a beautiful sunrise while sitting on the diving board of half dome in awe and thanking the Lord for adding another beautiful year to my life. I was excited about all the adventures that was going to come.

Fast forward to year 2015. After traveling 5 countries and logging 3292 miles on foot, I was on a summit AGAIN. This time it was in the Southern Hemisphere catching a glimpse of the very first sunrise of the year 2015. Literally! I got to see the first sunrise before the rest of the world.
