My billion star hotel at Spirits Bay! Crashed for the night in a cool-looking cave overlooking the Tasman Sea. Had a good night’s sleep listening to the waves crashing all night.

The night before a big adventure is always the hardest for me. Anxiety and self-doubt creep in. Even harder if it’s something you have never done before, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, where the chances of failure are high. That’s what makes it a real challenge, though.

Watching the sunset in Spirits Bay was pure magic. The sun was fading away slowly and so were my doubts. The colourful sky left me with hope. Courage, dear heart!

Kindness and I got to the start line earlier than I anticipated, but extreme fog, rain and wind at Cape Reinga and nowhere to crash for the night forced me into an early start. Freedom Seat has begun.

A human-powered journey on a bike named Kindness, to spread kindness. Need all your prayers and support.

Cape Reinga, the most spiritually significant place in New Zealand. A very significant place for me too. A place where all my epic dreams kick-started. The places, the journeys and the people I have met during those adventures changed who I am and my perspective about life.
