Work with me

Real miles, and the people who made them possible.

Naresh Kumar

I’m Naresh Kumar. I run and ride a long way, mostly alone and unsupported, and I come back with stories about the strangers who keep me going: the farmer who paid for my breakfast in Missouri, the mechanic in Kansas who worked on my tandem until 10:30 at night, the stranger at a Wendy’s drive-thru who bought my dinner.

Since my first marathon in 2009 I’ve finished 58 ultramarathons, walked and run the length of New Zealand in sandals, raced unsupported across Australia and Kyrgyzstan, and ridden a tandem with an empty back seat across four continents against human trafficking, through my foundation, Freedom Seat. I post it as it happens, and I write it up properly afterwards.

If your brand, event or team values that kind of experience, I’d love to hear from you.

How we could work together

Ambassador

Gear tested where it matters: unsupported, for weeks at a time, from desert heat to snow on the passes.

Stories

Day-by-day journals, photos and film from the road, written in my own words, like Pedaling 4 Freedom.

Talks

On endurance, fear, and what strangers teach you when you have nothing but a bike and a reason. I’ve told these stories at PechaKucha Night Wanaka and the Rotary International Convention in Hamburg.

A role on your team

I also build software: the live dashboard for the 2026 Big’s Backyard World Team Championship is mine. If your team builds for people who move outdoors, I’d love to help.

Let’s talk
