I’m an uncle for the second time. Woohoo! Congrats, sister!

Day 14: 1,274.9 km.

Kindness gave up just as I entered Palmerston North. It did its best. Gravelly shoulders full of potholes put the wheels, which were already beat up, to the absolute test.

Palmerston North.

Kindness is being taken care of at Bike Barn Palmerston North. Zero day tomorrow: a radio interview in the morning, sharing stories from the open road and raising awareness about trafficking with some school kids, and a talk at the Palmerston North Library at 5:30 pm.

When the students and teachers of Roslyn School joined hands at the end of the presentation and said they were going to fundraise on behalf of Freedom Seat, I was moved by their kind gesture.

Kindness and I had an awesome time sharing tales from the open road, and the cause we are riding for, at Roslyn School. Students, teachers, management: thank you for your time. And a big thanks to Leigh from the Kind Hearts Movement for organising this. You are the best!
