One of the toughest climbs on Freedom Seat, and it was even rougher on a tandem riding solo.
Earned the respect of local people and truck drivers who stopped to shake hands and congratulate me on my effort to End Slavery Now.
Sakaltutan Geçidi, elevation 2,160 m.
I met a couple of farmers walking on the side of the road. We spoke briefly, and I told them about my journey.
One of them made signs about drinking chai and asked me to keep going. Wasn’t quite sure what he meant, but then 5 minutes later these boys were on the side of the road and asked me to come in. They handed me chai and told me that their father had called and told them about me.
I also got to play with their lamb and shepherd dogs.
Instead of minding their own business, they went the extra mile to ensure that I was well taken care of.
Falling in love with humanity every day on this journey called Freedom Seat.
