Crossed the border from Turkey 🇹🇷 into Greece 🇬🇷 last night for the Freedom Seat expedition.
Google offline maps had a blue streak near the border. I pitched the tent along the Arda river in the dark. This morning I woke up to this view.
First day in Greece has been off to a good start. Completed 6,000 km and still got about 2,500+ to go.
Dinner in Turkey 🇹🇷, breakfast in Greece 🇬🇷 and lunch in Bulgaria 🇧🇬, all this while moving human powered 🚵🏼♂️.
Growing up on the downside of advantage, people always made fun of me and my dreams. A friend once told me that it would be a great achievement of my life if I ever made it to Delhi on a plane.
Today I entered Bulgaria, the 7th country of Freedom Seat, and it’s the 24th country I have visited. I have traversed most of the countries I have visited human powered, but today has been the most epic. In under 24 hours, I was in three different countries, moving human powered, and ate three different meals.
This journey hasn’t been easy. I had to rely purely on hard work, and with the good Lord’s help and the kindness of many people, I was able to not just achieve my dreams but exceed them.
Today’s moment was directly connected to those childhood dreams. I didn’t get here by myself though. I’m here because of family, friends and all my well-wishers. My sincere thanks to you all for your continuous support and for helping me realise that no matter how big your dreams are, ‘It’s possible’.
Never listen to naysayers, and no matter what your dreams are, “It’s possible”.
