Kick ass climb with kick ass views. No bears or moose yet :(
Made it through the Continental Divide! The highest point of Freedom Seat.
Got over the Rockies just before noon. The descent was brutal, with frigid temps, rain, and crosswinds. Was bundled up for the long ride downhill to Dubois.
Took a break at a rest stop where I met John and Aki. They were on a road trip with their dog buddy. They were so kind and offered water, Gatorade, snacks, etc. They were gonna stay in Riverton for the night. I told them I’d see them there. We turned out to be neighbors in Motel 6.
Was at the tail end of the storm and escaped getting drenched, but the puddles and spray from the traffic got me and Kindness very dirty. By the time I finished rinsing the mud off the bike, John invited me for dinner. Akiyo made some delicious salad and offered lots of sweet treats.
Very sore legs, but my heart and tummy are full.
