“I’m going on an adventure” - Bilbo Baggins

It was a dream come true, at Hobbiton, to jump the exact fence that Bilbo Baggins jumped as he ran through the Shire shouting “I’m going on an adventure!”, to catch up with the Dwarves at the Green Dragon.

Like the Hobbit, my life has truly been an Unexpected Journey. I can recall the number of times I made split-second decisions to go on an adventure I had never planned and prepared for, only to return a changed and accomplished man, full of epic memories.

Hobbit: Can you promise that I’ll come back? Gandalf: No. And if you do, you will not be the same.
