Kindness and I made it to Christchurch last night. It was a long, hard grind battling tough winds and gnarly roads, but we made it.
Day 21: 2,010.9 km. Donations: $11,038.
The last three days in Christchurch have been such a blessing and a humbling experience. I had the chance to share the stories of Freedom Seat with 1,200+ students of all age groups, and raise awareness about trafficking. I shared my struggles, purpose, failures and vulnerabilities, and what kept me going against all odds. The power of vulnerability and how it connects you with others is fascinating.
Their responses and feedback totally humbled me, and their support brought tears to my eyes.
It was awesome to see them leave inspired, but I’m even more excited to see how inspiring they are going to turn out to be for others. Thanks, Middleton Grange School and Papanui High School, for having me over.
